Growing up in Broken Bow, NE I had felt lost in my late teens. Worried about my future direction in life, or lack of direction I had at the time, I joined the Navy to traveled the world and buy myself more time. It was during the four years spent traveling the globe that I first became interested in photography. These new cultures and places were all new and exciting for a kid from Nebraska. They just begged me to photograph them, but my knowledge and little point and click camera left little to be desired of my photographs. After doing some research and self study, I quickly became addicted to photography. I struggled with following photography as a career path, however. I attended college and spent many years in construction management all while "testing the waters" of photography. The courage of taking the leap all came from my wife. I started out in color, but soon discovered the "mood" of black and white appealed to me on a more emotional basis. I live with my wife Linda, our 2 dogs Annie and Abby, and cat Tom Tom in the rural country side of Nebraska.
